Graveyard

Some Xekkosoft projects were discontinued for various reasons. You may download these dead projects at your pleasure, but keep in mind that they often come only in source code form as they're usually far from complete and playable.

Dexterity TCG

Dexterity is the first ever fully-computerized card game project in Game Maker. It resembles both Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic in structure, but still has a good amount of originality in it.

Unfortunately, I have lost the latest source of the game in a hard drive failure. The progress was reverted back to 11% from 40% in the span of a day. Nevertheless, the project would never have lived long, even if it finalized. The lack of graphics was a major factor, because over 1000 cards must be drawn individually and I'm not a professional spriter nor graphic artist. Other than that, motivation and lack of interest in the project contributed to its demise.

However, its legacy was nothing short of spectacular, surpassing Virtublobs by all means. During the development of the game, I learned important coding techniques, project management skills, and a basic understanding of visual effects.

Virtublobs

Virtublobs is the biggest failure in Xekkosoft's history. After 14 months of work, the ISP implemented a bandwidth limit which destroyed the entire project. A lack of interest in creating and maintaining an MMORPG also contributed to the cause.

Due to a hard drive crash, I have lost several components of Virtublobs, including an incomplete minigame engine and the coliseum battle system. They were not uploaded nor backed up in time and couldn't be shown here.

Even though this is a major failure, much of its spirit carried over to future projects. The names of many landmarks and places, the concept of an artificial world (now known as Panelex), and several key creatures (e.g. Turd-e-turtol) all owe their existence to this failed project.

Comets of Kamikazia

This project was inspired by Prisms of Light 2 by Mr. Chubigans. It was initiated in a week or two, but the idea faded after a few more days. The concept is simple: bounce a comet into a crystal. Due to limited skills, I wasn't able to even make the comet look like a comet.

Gemworks

This game was randomly inspired from a trip to the airport, with conveyors running everywhere. The idea later faded as new ideas were conceived, so the project was abandoned. Drop small coloured gemstones into spinning warps using conveyors and other machinery.

XekkoScript

This was originally intended as an experiment to create a new scripting language based on GML. It didn't succeed, but later it found a home in Virtublobs, where no progress was made because it was impossible to make anything useful with it. It didn't take long for me to consider that this project was a complete waste of time.
